Don Luta, born Aluta Manale, is a rapper, recording artist, photographer, and concert merchandiser from Pretoria, South Africa. Working across different areas of the creative world, his identity extends beyond the recording booth and reflects a broader connection to music, imagery, and live events.

After stepping away from releasing music for nearly two years, Don Luta returned on June 12, 2026, with his second EP, Sophomore Story. Released one week before his 22nd birthday, the project marked a new chapter in his journey and gave listeners an honest look at what had changed during his time away.

Presented as a sequel, Sophomore Story catches his audience up on the experiences and personal growth that shaped his absence. Throughout the EP, Don Luta reflects on isolation, changing priorities, and the search for identity while documenting the process of turning pain into power.

Rather than treating his time away as lost ground, Don Luta uses the project to reconnect with his audience and reintroduce himself through a more reflective perspective. With Sophomore Story, he continues building his story by transforming a period of distance and uncertainty into music rooted in self-examination, resilience, and growth.
